A little while ago I drove up the driveway and got out of the car utterly pissed at the world.

I can’t remember the details, but it was a melange of sun, heat, humidity, not enough time, too much to do and a project on my mind that invoked an undercurrent of stomach-churning anxiety.

As I walked toward the house looking for something to snarl at, a dragonfly caught my eye and settled nearby.

The story ended.

For at least few moments.

I’m amazed at how I can go from self-centeredness to awe in seconds – and then right back again.
